She has worked in both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations in a variety of industries including 15 years in higher education, health & human services, advertising, and consumer products in the U.S. and abroad.
Sara Burden, CBI, M&AMI, CM&AP, FIBBA, FMAS
President, Walden Businesses, Inc.
Sara Burden entered the mergers and acquisitions industry in March 1991 and has been actively involved in Walden’s successful closings of small to middle market sized companies. While Sara specializes in owner representation, she has handled unique buyer representations in the national marketplace. She has represented and sold companies with sophisticated high profiles in the service sector, heavy manufacturing and distribution businesses with equal success.

Originally from the Midwest, Lisa landed in Arizona in 2007. She became a business broker because she loves putting people together in “win-win” situations so that each party can move on to the next phase in their life. Lisa’s educational achievements include a BA from Benedictine College (KS) and a M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame (IN). Prior to working with First Choice, Lisa utilized her sales and management skills while building her and her husband’s beautiful home, along with her evaluation business.

Laura Maver Ward is the Founder and Managing Partner of Kingsbridge Capital Partners, a Midwest based middle market investment banking and M&A advisory firm. Laura has 35 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, management consulting, and executive coaching. Laura has advised hundreds of business owners on mergers and acquisitions, exit planning, financial advisory matters and business growth strategies. Laura is the current Chair-Elect and Membership Chair for M&A Source.
