Certified M&A Professional Program

The Certified M&A Professional Program is offered by the Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University in conjunction with The M&A Source. The program is an adaptation of the educational/certification offerings of the Coles College M&A Academy, which focuses on the unique aspects of middle market M&A activity. It is ideal for M&A intermediaries, Private Equity Groups and other professionals serving this sector, as well as senior management of privately held businesses.

Curriculum Overview

Day 1: M&A Strategy: Maximizing Value with the Right Transaction Day 2: Creating and Protecting Value Through Financial Analysis Day 3: M&A Transaction Valuation Day 4: The M&A Process: Best Practices in Planning, Process, and Execution Day 5: M&A Negotiations & Deal Structuring Optional evening sessions may be conducted during the week to provide for participant networking and/or address other special topics.

Certification

Participants who attend the five-day program earn a Certified M&A Professional certificate from Kennesaw State University’s Coles College. In addition, successful completion of the program can be applied to jump-start the educational requirements of the M&A Master Intermediary (M&AMI) certification application process with The M&A Source, or to use the credits towards your M&AMI recertification, and/or to sharpen your skills for your M&A practice. This CM&AP program qualifies for 40 hours of CPE (for Certified Public Accountants) and 20 hours of CLE (for attorneys, per the State Bar of Georgia).
